A few years ago I realized that my career is highly susceptible to modern trends. I discovered that the importance of 10+ years traditional journalism experience began to diminish. The world of media had changed extremely quickly - from traditional newspapers and magazines to Digital Media, Big Data, Social Media, and apps. I have faced a dilemma: should I continue traditional media career or accept the digital challenge?
It was a real challenge to change career paths. However, I have done it twice before when I realized that I had reached the professional ‘ceiling’ in previous jobs. After newspapers' career I worked in a business consulting for five years focusing on innovation. On the next stage, I went on TV. An important realization from those experiences was that my zeal for learning always helped me to acquire new skills and to apply them in new ways.
That is why I decided to accept the digital challenge.
My personal goal is not only enjoy of new digital experience, but to create business in digital media. I plan to combine journalism and project management skills with newly acquired skills in the launch of digital projects.
I am confident that my digital stage will allow me to successfully transition to the Era of Data.
